Privacy information.

How information sent through this website is handled.

Who looks after your information

I’m Daniel Hogan, an independent website designer based in Ireland. I’m responsible for the personal information collected through this website. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@danielhogan.ie.

When you get in touch

The enquiry form collects your name, email address, selected website type and message. If you email me directly, I receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. Please leave out passwords, payment details and sensitive personal information.

I use this information to reply, discuss your needs and prepare a proposal. Your name, email address and message are needed to handle the form enquiry; choosing a website type is optional. You are not obliged to contact me, but I cannot reply without a usable contact address.

Why I use it

When you ask about a project for yourself, I process the necessary details to take steps towards a contract at your request. For general enquiries or when you contact me for a business, I rely on my legitimate interest in responding to requests and running my website design business.

I also use limited technical information for my legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and preventing spam. If we work together, necessary project information is used to deliver our agreement and meet applicable legal obligations. I do not use enquiries to add you to a marketing list, and I do not make automated decisions or profile you.

Where information is kept

Form enquiries are saved in the website’s protected WordPress administration area, and a notification is sent to my mailbox. The public website and mailbox use Hostinger hosting and Hostinger Email. Fluent Forms runs within WordPress to manage the form and saved entries.

The form and hosting services may record your IP address, browser or device information, submission time and source page for administration, security and spam prevention. Access to enquiry records is limited to authorised administration and necessary service providers. I do not sell your information.

Hostinger and its service providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Its data processing addendum describes applicable safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses where relevant. Contact me if you would like information about the safeguards applying to your enquiry.

How long information is kept

I keep enquiry records while responding and while a possible project is being discussed. After that discussion ends, I retain them only where needed for follow-up, an agreed project, a legal obligation or a specific dispute. Records that no longer serve one of those purposes are deleted during reviews of saved enquiries and email correspondence.

If an enquiry becomes a project, relevant correspondence and agreed scope are kept for delivering and supporting the work. Contract and accounting records are retained for applicable legal requirements or resolving claims. Backups may retain a copy until their normal replacement cycle; they are used for recovery rather than everyday access.

Cookies and external links

This website does not use visitor analytics, advertising cookies, embedded live websites or external font services. WordPress uses necessary cookies for administrator login. The enquiry form uses a hidden spam-check field rather than a third-party CAPTCHA.

Project previews on this website are screenshots. Following a link to a client website opens a separate site with its own privacy practices.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction of its use or a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Some records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations or deal with claims.

Email hello@danielhogan.ie to make a request. I may need enough information to confirm your identity and locate the records. I normally respond within one month; if a lawful extension is needed, I will explain why.

You can also raise a concern with Ireland’s Data Protection Commission. You do not have to contact me first.

Keeping this notice current

I update this notice when the website or the way information is handled changes. Last updated: 1 October 2026.
